3D Laser Scanning in Sofia and Pleven
Non-contact scanning of objects with millimeter accuracy — for reverse engineering, BIM, reconstruction, deformation monitoring.
What's included
- ✓ Scanning of buildings, façades, industrial premises
- ✓ Tunnels, bridges, historic monuments
- ✓ Delivery of point cloud (E57, RCS) or BIM model (Revit)
- ✓ 2D CAD drawings generated from point cloud
What 3D laser scanning is
3D laser scanning is a non-contact geodetic technology that uses pulse laser to measure millions of points per second, building a 3D model of the object with millimeter accuracy. In a few minutes a scanner can capture a room with all its details — without manual measurement or markers.
The result — a point cloud — is a universal source of information from which 2D CAD drawings, 3D solid models, BIM models, video tours and interactive walkthroughs can be derived.
When 3D scanning is better than classical surveying
- Complex geometries — façades, historic buildings, industrial premises with many pipes;
- Reconstruction — when no project documentation exists for a building;
- Reverse engineering — creating a CAD model of a finished part or structure;
- Deformation monitoring — comparing surfaces over time;
- Tunnels and underground objects — inaccessible to other survey methods;
- Safety and speed — reduces field time, especially in dangerous environments.
Object types we scan
- Buildings: façades and interiors for reconstruction; historic monuments; residential, public buildings;
- Industrial: production halls, technological installations, warehouses;
- Infrastructure: tunnels, bridges, viaducts, roads, underground.
What you receive
- Point cloud in standard formats — E57, RCS/RCP (Autodesk), LAS, PTS;
- BIM model in Revit — by specification, at LOD 200/300/400 level;
- 2D CAD drawings in AutoCAD — plans, sections, façades, profiles;
- Report with technology description, accuracy and processing details.
Technology and equipment
We use Leica and Faro 3D laser scanners — range up to 270 m, accuracy 1–4 mm, speed over 1 million points/sec. Software: Leica Cyclone, Autodesk ReCap, Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Frequently asked questions
What accuracy does 3D laser scanning achieve?
Depends on scanner and object. Standard — 2 to 6 mm at 10 meter distance. For higher demands — up to 1 mm. Point density can reach 1 mm at 10 m.
What is a point cloud?
Point cloud is a digital representation of an object as millions (sometimes billions) of three-dimensional points, each with X, Y, Z coordinates and often color (RGB) or intensity.
How much does 3D laser scanning cost?
Highly dependent on object — area, complexity, level of detail, delivery format. From ~600 BGN for small objects, up to several thousand for industrial halls.
